The Component Obsolescence Group Germany (COGD) wants to minimize or prevent the effects of the unavailability of components. As a member of the COGD and in the spirit of sustainability, we ensure that our high-tech components and complete products have successors that are as compatible and equivalent as possible. In an industry in which manufacturers sometimes replace components with successors that are not always compatible within just six months, we also distinguish ourselves through products with exceptional long-term availability.

A good example is our self-developed Prisma TFT controller boards, which have remained compatible in form and function for more than 20 years and across different versions.

When selecting our partners, we also pay attention to the long-term availability of the products: Some TFT display models from AUO, Kyocera and Tianma have been available for more than 15 years. The guaranteed long-term availability is at least 5 – 7 years.

Our embedded product range also offers long-term available solutions: The Congatec conga-SMX8-Plus, for example, is available until 2035. After that, there will be a compatible successor.
